WTA Climate Action Kids Art Contest

Join Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) at the Bellingham Farmers Market on Saturday, September 24 for a Kids Art Contest. Your kid’s art could be featured on the side of an electric bus! All art materials will be provided.

Contest details:

• The contest is intended for children who live in Whatcom County.
• All art must be created at the event and submitted aboard the bus.
• Each participant may only submit one work of art.
• Markers and templates will be provided. All participants must use the provided materials.
• Each participant will have at least 15 minutes to create their submission. Depending on the number of participants, time may be limited to 15 minutes.
• Participants (or parents) must write the participant’s first and last name, age, and contact phone number on the back of their submission.
• Winning submissions will be chosen by a panel of judges – identities of artists will not be known during judging.
• Winners will be announced by the end of October.

Prize Drawing/Event Feedback

Receive a prize drawing entry for up to five events you attend during Climate Action Week! Three prize drawing winners will be selected to choose between a solar backpack, waterproof bike bag, energy efficiency kit, or zero waste shopping kit. 

For each entry, you must submit a brief online feedback form for the event you attended and include a unique codeword for that event. Obtain the codeword for the WTA Climate Action Kids Art Contest on a poster at the event or by emailing bhamclimateweek@gmail.com.
