How to Make Compost – Start to Finish (9/20 at Whatcom Middle School)

Join the Food Educators of Common Threads Farm in building, maintaining and harvesting a compost pile in this hands-on workshop. Compost is an important part of shifting food production closer to home and reducing “food miles” and the associated emissions and fossil fuel use. You’ll also be contributing to the health of our school gardens while getting hands-on experience working with compost made from garden scraps.
This event is limited to 15 participants. Please register in advance by sending an email to erika.beaudin@commonthreadsfarm.org indicating how many people are in your group.
This event will be following a COVID-19 Safety Plan.
The same workshop will be hosted at Kulshan Middle School on September 21.
