Sheltering in Extreme Weather Events

Join the  Bellingham Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, and Climate Impacts Group for a virtual education event about sheltering in extreme weather events.

Climate change is a contributing factor to more frequent extremes of heat, drought, and rain in the Pacific Northwest. We will discuss the fundamentals of sheltering in place, strategies related to weather extremes, and considerations for vulnerable populations.
