Shoreline Committee Meeting
September 16 , 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
As a precaution, all City of Bellingham in-person meetings have been suspended. At this time, all Shoreline Committee meetings are being held virtually via Zoom Webinars. Options for joining this meeting are as follows:
Meeting ID: 930 9463 5180 Password: 21
No registration is required to attend this meeting via https://cob.zoom.us/j/99696841975. Alternatively, citizens can listen to the meeting via phone by dialing 1-253-215-8782, 1-669-900-6833 or 1-929-205-6099.
Request for a programmatic exemption that would allow the Port of Bellingham to perform routine maintenance, repair and replacement of their marine and upland infrastructure such as floats, gangways, piers, pilings, mooring facilities, utilities, buildings, asphalt and other paved surfaces, bulkheads, revetments, ramps and abutments and lighting as well as maintenance dredging in the marina areas provided that it is NOT associated with contaminated sediments. Currently, each individual maintenance project requires separate applications, fees and approvals which is inefficient. This programmatic permit will require the Port to notify the City of the project and if the activity is within established maintenance and repair thresholds it can proceed upon City “Concurrence.”
Meeting Materials can be found on the agendas and supporting materials webpage.
