SUMMARY:Habitat Photos Monitoring and Prize Drawing
DESCRIPTION:Take photos at two of the City’s habitat restoration sites during Whatcom Water Week to help us monitor how these sites are maturing over time! Your photo submissions through our Habitat Photos project help us document the progress of the Padden Creek Daylighting and Squalicum Creek Re-route Phases 1 & 2 projects\, which were constructed in 2015 to improve water quality and fish passage.  \n\n\n\nPrize Drawing\n\n\n\nDuring Whatcom Water Week\, we will have additional educational signs at the sites and a prize drawing for a $50 gift card to a local native plant nursery. To enter the prize drawing\, please include the email address habitat@cob.org when you submit your photo entry at one of our two Habitat Photos sites. There are signs at each photo station describing how to capture and submit photos. All photos are automatically and anonymously added to a timelapse video. \n\n\n\nEveryone can enter the prize drawing twice during the week – once at each site.  \n\n\n\nLocations\n\n\n\nClick this image to view a map of the photo station locations. \n\n\nThe Padden Creek Daylighting photo stations are located on the pedestrian bridge accessed via the Interurban Trail Rotary Trailhead parking lot off of Old Fairhaven Parkway. The coordinates for this photo station location are approximately 48°42’55.3″N 122°29’35.8″W.  \n\n\n\nThe Squalicum Creek Re-route Phases 1 & 2 photo stations are located on the pedestrian bridge that can be accessed by walking on the trail north from the Sunset Pond Park parking lot off of James Street. Those unable to attend in person may register to attend remotely at the Webinar Registration Page.The Civil Service Commission provides for the classification of over 500 civil service employees and for open and competitive examinations at both entry and promotional levels. The Commission may also review the suspension\, removal\, or discharge of civil service employees and will investigate such actions\, hold public hearings\, and reinstate employees if justified. The Commission is staffed by the Human Resources Department of the City of Bellingham in its role as the administrator of the City’s Civil Service System.Meeting duration may vary.
