SUMMARY:A HOPE PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:A Hope Project was created by three teens. It is a public art installation that tells a progressive story on yard signs illustrating hope and some actions we can each take to protect planet Earth. The signs are on Lynn Street between Eldridge Ave. and Northwest Ave and will be for approximately six months. The naming of A HOPE PROJECT\, the logo and the images were all made by Sylvia\, Lilly and Raya. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA HOPE PROJECT presents ideas to protect planet Earth. You too can write your ideas or draw a picture of an invention that you think will help to fix the climate crises. Put those ideas & inventions on a postcard and mail it to someone important to you. A grandmother. An uncle. Or a senator! We’ve got postage stamps and a mailbox! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nSigns will be posted on the length of Lynn Street between Eldridge Ave and Northwest Ave (corner of Yeager’s). \n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\nFrom A Child’s Point of ViewEmail: fromchildspointofview@gmail.com \n\n\n\nPrize Drawing/Event Feedback\n\n\n\nReceive a prize drawing entry for up to five events you attend during Climate Action Week! SUMMARY:Fall Equinox Wild Church: Listening to Creation
DESCRIPTION:Our world is changing\, and it impacts not just humans but all that we share this planet with. As a part of Bellingham’s ALL IN for Climate Action Week\, Echoes Bellingham is gathering on the land\, to listen to the voice of creation. We’ll welcome the Fall Equinox\, honor the changing of the season and listen deeply to the earth and the sounds of creation who are crying out in the face of constant climate change. All are welcome to this gathering where the bulk of our time will be spent wandering in the wild. Fall is a season that offers so much to us if we take time to honor the transformation is beckons us into. \n\n\n\nWe are grateful to once again partner with and join on the land of Stillpoint at Beckside! \n\n\n\nAs a small action of solidarity we will take a free will offering for the Center for Responsible Forestry\, a volunteer run organization that advocates for the conservation of older forests on DNR managed land in Southwest Washington and the greater Puget Sound region. The health and protection of our forests is vital to the flourishing of all. \n\n\n\nWe encourage wearing layers as well as warm clothing for walking as the weather changes. This is a rain or shine event\, so please dress accordingly to the Northwest weather. We will have chairs to sit in around the fire\, but please bring warm items (blanket\, coats\, gloves\, etc.) to make yourself comfortable for our reflection times. \n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nStillpoint at Beckside1625 Huntley RoadBellingham\, WA 98226 \n\n\n\nThere is ample parking down by the Stillpoint cabin off of Huntley Road. Look for the Stillpoint parking signs by the metal gate\, that mark the entrance to the driveway lot. There is a short path that you will take up to the fire pit/gathering area. We encourage a handheld light source (flashlight\, headland\, lantern) to help guide your path and walk. \n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\nPastor EmmaEmail: emma@echoesbellingham.org Phone: (206) 200-3262 \n\n\n\nPrize Drawing/Event Feedback\n\n\n\nReceive a prize drawing entry for up to five events you attend during Climate Action Week! SUMMARY:Let's Talk About Electric Vehicles
DESCRIPTION:Join the Climate Reality Project Bellingham Chapter for this virtual event to learn about a new Bloomberg study announcing a tipping point suggesting an increased adoption rate for electric vehicles (EVs).
