Harrison Street Slope Stabilization

Project Overview: EW237

This project repaired a water main that was originally installed in 1992. The water main is in good condition but due to the slope above slipping, the pipe came apart at the joints on more than one occasion. In addition, the slippage caused a rock wall to collapse. The repairs replaced a section of the existing watermain, removed soils from the top of the slope, placed soil near the bottom of the slope, replaced sections of the rock wall with a modular block wall, re-constructed/repaired the existing stormwater pond, and provided a three-foot horizontal to one-foot vertical (3:1) slope in lieu of the previous steep slope.
