Annual program to reduce cut-through traffic & speeding on residential streets, this includes the installation of traffic calming devices in selected areas. The construction of speed humps on Grant St., traffic diverters on King St., & etc.
Project includes construction of two new turn lanes on Woburn Street, at the Alabama Street intersection as well as traffic signal modifications. Treatment of storm water from Woburn St corridor by using rain garden. Pocket park with Roosevelt Association
The improvements consists of : rehabilitating roughly 11,880 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe using Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) and open cut methods, replacement of 31 manholes, and restoration of appurtenant structures effected by construction.
Project includes demolition of the existing grocery store at the corner of Woburn & Alabama Streets. Demolishing the store is necessary in order for the improvements to take place place as the store is partially in the City right-of-way. Turn lanes - 2007
