Indian Street Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements

The project enhances pedestrian and bicycle safety by constructing curb extensions and ADA accessible curb ramps, improving lighting at intersections, resurfacing the street and adding shared lane markings for bicycles and vehicles.

2010-2011 Sewer Rehabilitation

The 2010-2011 Sewer Replacement project consists primarily of replacing manholes and restoring sanitary sewer lines to near new condition through the use of trenchless technology. Neigborhoods: Sehome, Samish and Birchwood.

The 2009-2010 Sewer Replacement project consists primarily of replacing manholes and restoring sanitary sewer lines to near new condition through the use of trenchless technology and open cut methods in portions of seven neighborhoods.

Forest Street Water Main and Resurfacing Improvements

This project consists of replacement of the existing 8-inch 1914 & 6-inch 1918 cast iron water main on Forest St between Rose & York Streets. The project also consists of pavement resurfacing on Forest St & installation of bulbouts at key intersections.

2009 Enhanced Pedestrian Crossings

This annual program constructs pedestrian crosswalk enhancements on arterial streets. Full funding in 2009 at the following locations: Northwest / Maplewood; North Samish / Newell; Lakeway / Grant; Alabama / Grant; York / Railroad.
