This project consists of replacement of the existing 8-inch 1914 & 6-inch 1918 cast iron water main on Forest St between Rose & York Streets. The project also consists of pavement resurfacing on Forest St & installation of bulbouts at key intersections.
This annual program constructs pedestrian crosswalk enhancements on arterial streets. Full funding in 2009 at the following locations: Northwest / Maplewood; North Samish / Newell; Lakeway / Grant; Alabama / Grant; York / Railroad.
Park improvements include demolition of existing fence, additional paths, a picnic shelter, lights, a skate dot, drainage improvements, basketball court resurfacing, landscaping, and pedestrian amenities.
The project consists of streetscape improvements along upper Holly Street between Ellis Street and Railroad Avenue. Included in the project is the replacement of all curb, gutter and sidewalk, the addition of new traffic signals & street lighting, plants.
A three-mile trail that runs along Whatcom Creek from Maritime Heritage Park to Bloedel Donovan Park.
