Annual Fee Waiver Scholarship Program
The Bellingham Parks & Recreation Department offers a $200 per person annual fee waiver to those who qualify and reside within Bellingham city limits. The fee waiver can be used to register for selected Parks & Recreation and Arne Hanna Aquatic Center programs. The $200 fee waiver is good for the calendar year, January through December. Applications are below. To be eligible to receive this, your family must reside within Bellingham city limits (proof of address required) and provide proof of one of the criteria below:
- Eligible by Income Level (185% of the Federal Poverty level)
- Foster Child
- Free/Reduced School Lunch
- TANF Benefits
- Basic Food/SNAP Benefits
- Supplement Security Income
- DSHS Respite Care

Summer 2026 Coupon for Kids Camps:
The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce that for summer 2026, it will be offering a $50 Coupon Code for youth summer camps for kids ages 6-16 (BellingCamp Acorns, BellingCamp Oaks, Camp Cordata, and VolunTeens). The coupon code can be used by each child up to two times this summer. This coupon code can be applied to summer camp program fees in addition to our department fee waiver. The $50 discount does not apply to the nonrefundable $20 cancellation fee, meaning that these charges will be taken from the price you pay (see Refund Policy).
Please only use the coupon code twice per child to ensure that everyone who needs it has an opportunity to receive a discount! If indiscrepencies are found you will be held responsible for the full program fee. Discrepancies of coupon code use include but are not limited to removal from program and future programs.
By using the $50 coupon code, you are self-attesting that your household fits within any of the determined criteria:
• Household has more than one camper attending a summer camp program (BellingCamp Acorns, BellingCamp Oaks, Camp Cordata, and Adventure Day Camp) in 2025 *Note: this criteria only applies to the $50 discount code
• Family falls within a 185% of the Federal Poverty level, calculated here: 2025 Poverty Guidelines
• Household has a camper who identifies as Hispanic, Latino, or of Spanish origin
• Household has a camper who describes themselves as American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander
• Household has a camper who has been in foster care
• Family receives Social Security Income (SSI)
• Household receives Food Stamps
• Primary language spoken in household is not English
