Program Descriptions

We offer a variety of programs at the Aquatic Center. Offerings include lap swims, American Red Cross swim lessons and training courses, shallow water aerobics, and deep water running. We also have preschool swims and open swims for people to play and enjoy the facility.

  • Lap Swim – Swimmers will share lanes by circle swimming. Lifeguards may move swimmers to match the speed of other swimmers if necessary. We allow up to 8 swimmers per lane. Please refer to our Lap Lane Availability document for the number of lanes available throughout the day.
  • Water Walking – One lane is provided to do therapeutic exercises at your own pace. The combination of low-impact and water resistance helps to increase strength and range of motion as you recover from injuries or surgery. Max 4 participants. Please see our Lap Lane Availability for times.
  • Deep Water Running (DWR) – DWR is a great, zero-impact exercise activity done on your own by simulating running movements with your arms, legs, and body position. Floatation belts and ankle cuffs are available for participants to use. Max 10 participants.
  • Water Aerobics – 35 participants per 45-minute class. Our aerobics instructors design their classes to focus on either High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) or endurance. Participants complete an assortment of exercises that use the natural resistance of the water to increase their strength and conditioning.
  • Open Swim – Open swims have returned! All four of our pools will have space available to swim and play. The waterslide and diving board are open during these swims. Please note, that riders must be at least 4 feet tall to go down the waterslide. Divers will need to pass a swim test before using the diving board. At this time, food and drink are not allowed during the open swims. Max 150 participants.
  • Family Swim – Playtime in the pools. The diving board is available. No waterslide during this swim. Max 100 participants.
  • Preschool Swim – Families can play, splash, and practice their swimming skills in the instructional pool. We will have lifejackets, pool floats, and pool toys available for kids to use. Max 40 participants.
  • Locker Rooms are available for participants to use. Lockers are for day use only.
  • Showers are available for those in need. 30-minute time limit.
  • Programs and information are subject to change. Please check back regularly for updates.

Our Pools

Instructional Pool:

The instructional pool includes a beach entry at one end and the exit of our 135-foot water slide into the three-and-a-half feet deep opposite the beach entry. This pool is 88 degrees; it’s great for younger kids learning to swim and adapting to the water.

Lap Pool & Dive Tank:

The lap pool is 25 yards long by eight lanes wide, with depths from 3 feet to 6 feet as you travel down the lane. We have a separate dive tank, 6-12 feet deep, with a one-meter competition springboard. The lap pool and dive tank are both 83 degrees.

Hydrotherapy Pool:

The 100-degree temperature is perfect for relaxing after a workout, stretching, or doing your therapy exercises. Our hydrotherapy pool is for those 16 years of age and older.
