Bellingham Whatcom Public Facilities District Board Meeting

Meetings of the Bellingham-Whatcom Public Facilities District are held fourt times a year on a Thursday at 12 p.m. at City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham. Meetings generally last for 1.5 hours.

The Bellingham-Whatcom Public Facilities District (BWPFD) was created in 2002 as a joint effort between the City of Bellingham and Whatcom County.  The BWPFD’s mission is to fund a regional center that will increase economic prosperity and lay a foundation for further public and private investment in our community. A “Public Facilities District” (PFD) is an independent municipal taxing authority created solely to fund facilities that encourage or enhance economic development within a regional core area. 

Meeting: The Board typically holds their meetings on the third Thursday of the month from 12:00-1:30pm. They meet four to six times a year in the City Council Boardroom (unless otherwise specified on agenda) located on the 2nd floor of Bellingham City Hall. Please note elevator access to the second floor is available at City Hall’s west entrance.
