Water Treatment Plant Tour (full)

In celebration of National Public Works Week, join us to learn more about where your drinking water comes from and how it’s treated. The City’s Water Treatment Plant, located near Whatcom Falls Park, takes water from Lake Whatcom, filters and treats it, and distributes it throughout the City. Tours of the Water Treatment Plant run approximately one hour long. 

• Attendees must be 8 years or older.
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Tour groups must start and end the tour together. It is not possible to leave early because participants must remain with the group leader while on plant grounds.
• Participants must be able to walk approximately 1 mile and travel up and down stairs. If you need an accommodations, including translations services, please email us in advance of the tour at askpw@cob.org.
