Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday September 8, 2017. The grant is a competitive process and applications are available on the City website at https://www.cob.org/services/business/Pages/tourism-grants.aspx.
This will be the second year the City is offering a Start-Up Grant opportunity for those events, programs or projects that are under three years old in addition to the Standard Grant application.
In 2017, the City awarded 25 competitive grants totaling $171,700. Programs and events included Dyrland Productions, Kuntz Community Arts, Fairhaven Historic Association and Downtown Bellingham Partnership. Special consideration will be given to events that occur during the off-season (between October and May) and / or by partnering with other agencies or events to reduce duplication of activities.
