The City of Bellingham's Arne Hanna Aquatic Center is popular and well-used. It requires regular maintenance to ensure its facilities remain safe and functional for all users. This year, the Aquatic Center will be closed for cleaning and maintenance effective now through Sunday, August 18.
Among the list of maintenance, repair and cleaning projects at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center:
- Deep clean pools and facility;
- Change all outdoor sign lighting to LED
- Service HVAC system;
- Calibrate various water level and chemical meters
Because of the closure, swim passes will be extended. The Aquatic Center's front desk, at 1114 Potter St. in Bellingham, will be staffed 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
