In 1958, President D. Eisenhower established Law Day a nationwide observance dedicated to increasing public understanding of the legal system and the rule of law. Each year, Law Day focuses on a theme that encourages public discussion about the legal foundation of our democracy. The 2025 theme, The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One, explores how the U.S. Constitution unites a diverse nation through shared democratic values.
