The City is undertaking many efforts to modernize systems and make your government more transparent, understandable, and accessible.
You’ll notice an improved agenda that features easy-to-understand and more modern-looking documents. We’re working to make meeting materials more readable, accurate, consistent, and complete. Our first “new” agenda was published for the Jan. 26, 2026, meeting.
In the past, the City published agendas five days before meetings. Now, agendas will be published one week before meetings (unless there’s a Monday holiday) to give people more time to learn about Council agenda items, as well as make plans to attend or view meetings. The City took these steps to help make it easier for community members to engage with decision-making.
Behind the scenes, we’ve put in significant effort to make these changes possible. We’ve improved how the agenda software works and how it integrates with City systems. We’ve also established new workflows for preparing meeting materials. Mayor’s Office, Council Office, Information Technology, City Attorney’s Office, and Finance staff members worked together on this project.
We hope these efforts make it easier to learn about issues and engage with the decisions that affect you and other community members.
