Utility rates to increase in 2026 to support safe, reliable water services

To continue providing safe, reliable water services to the Bellingham community, the City will implement utility rate increases starting in January 2026. The increases reflect the investments needed to maintain and upgrade essential infrastructure for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
