Welcome to Community Streets! Through this program, we collaborate with Bellingham residents to identify issues on non-arterial, residential streets and find solutions to make them safer, calmer, and more comfortable for everyone who uses them. In 2026, we are focusing on input and improvements for residential streets located in the Birchwood, Columbia, Cornwall Park, Lettered Streets, Sunnyland, City Center, and York neighborhoods. All concerns received for this area before March 31, 2026, will be evaluated and responded to this spring. Submissions received after March 31, 2026, will be evaluated during the next program cycle in 2027.
Here’s what to expect:
- Step 1 – Identify
- Notice a traffic issue on a residential street you live on or frequently use within our 2026 focus area? Tell us about it.
- Step 2 – Report
- Submit your concerns via our online survey, by phone (360-778-7700), or in person by March 31, 2026. Questions? Email us at CommunityStreets@cob.org
- Step 3 – Collaborate
- We’ll review your concern and work with you to find the most appropriate solution.
- Step 4 – See Results
- Track the progress of your concern on our interactive map below and see how your input is making a difference. To review the results from our first round of Community Streets in 2025, you can use the following links to read our final report to City Council or watch the presentation.

Update: Group B collection has ended
Thank you for your interest in improving our neighborhood streets! The feedback collection period for Group B is now closed.
If you submit a concern after April 1, we will still receive your feedback, but we will review it during the next cycle of the program. We appreciate your patience as we work through the current feedback to find the best solutions for our residential streets.
