Project Status

Project construction was complete in 2022. Construction began in early 2020, with the dam removed and fish passage restored later in 2020.

In August 2019 the project was advertised for construction bids which resulted in five contractor bids. The City Council authorized the construction contract award in October 2019.

The project’s final feasibility evaluation, final design, and permitting was completed between January 2018 – March 2019, with six private-public partners committing to provide nearly all of the project funding needed.
