King Mountain Community Garden

Located in North Bellingham, with access by car, bus or bicycle, the King Mountain Community Garden currently offers 60 plots for interested gardeners. There are 12 raised beds that are 3′ x 7, as well as 48 10′ x 10′ ground plots.

A few unique notes about this garden:

  • This is a brand-new community garden in 2024. While we settle in and learn more about this garden, after the 2024 growing season, we may make additional adjustments to the garden plot layouts.
  • It is strongly recommended gardeners plan a variety of water retention activities to support their garden plots. While there is a well on the property that will be used for the garden, this summer it will be utilized and shared by gardeners for the first time. We will be testing its capacity for the first time.
  • This is the only fully fenced community garden provided by the Parks & Recreation Department.
