Pine Street Crossing

Project Overview

This project will upgrade the existing railroad crossing to quiet zone standards and add a multiuse path crossing. The Pine Street Crossing safety improvements are part of the City’s efforts to upgrade railroad crossings in the waterfront area to complete a quiet zone while also improving pedestrian and bicycle access in the area. Construction will include pedestrian and bicycle facilities at Cornwall and along Wharf Street to improve connectivity between Cornwall and Boulevard Street and the future Salish Landing Park, helping to fulfill plans in Bellingham’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plans.
