While the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to all aspects of government services, the City’s ADA Transition Plan (Plan) for Pedestrian Facilities in the Public Right-of-Way focuses exclusively on the public right-of-way which includes sidewalks, curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons and other pedestrian-related facilities. The Plan identifies barriers and changes that are needed to ensure access for individuals with disabilities. The City appreciates the invaluable input from community members who participated in the development of the Plan by identifying barriers and assisting in prioritizing improvements and welcomes ongoing feedback regarding barriers or concerns.
