Special City Council Meeting
Oct 14 (Monday) , 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
The Bellingham City Council will hold a series of Meetings on October 14th at 10:00 AM, October 28th at 10:00 AM, and November 12th at 10:00 AM (this final meeting will only be held if needed and a cancelation notice will be sent out if it is not needed). The topic of each meeting will be 2025 Budget Work Session. All Budget Work Sessions will be held in the Mayor’s Boardroom on the second floor of City Hall, 210 Lottie Street, Suite 227, Bellingham. The Special Meeting on October 28th will also include four public hearings, to take place at 10:00 AM in Council Chambers, to accept public testimony and express a collective decision and/or vote upon four resolutions expressing opposition to the below listed Washington State Initiatives and encouraging the citizens of Bellingham to vote “No” on each on the November 5, 2024, ballot. The Initiatives are: 2066, concerning regulating energy services including natural gas and electrification; 2109 concerning taxes; 2117 concerning carbon tax credit trading; and 2124 concerning state long term care insurance
