Find unique treasures at Children’s Craft Fairs
Shoppers, mark your calendars, and tell your friends! It’s time for the Library’s annual Children’s Craft Fairs. Enjoy two festive opportunities to take home unique treasures made by entrepreneurial local kids. The first is Friday, July 31, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lee Memorial Park outside the Central Library. The second is Friday, Aug. 21, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside Bellis Fair Mall. All items are priced $5 or less. Bring cash to help kids learn to count money, and bring a joyful spirit to take home goodies! More than 100 youths are spending their summer days crafting special items just for you.
New tool makes it easy to find information about registered rentals

We’re happy to share a new resource that makes it easy to see all registered rentals in Bellingham and the results of inspections. Explore the rental registration dashboard and learn more about our Rental Registration and Safety Inspection Program, which requires rental properties to be registered with the City and inspected about every three years.
Reforesting Cornwall Memorial Park
After many years of heavy use, some forested areas in Cornwall Memorial Park are showing signs of wear, including compacted soil and the loss of native plants and trees. To help restore these areas, we’ve begun a 3- to 5-year reforestation project. During this time, portions of the park will be fenced off to allow the forest understory of native plants to regrow. This work will strengthen our urban tree canopy, support salmon habitat and water quality in Squalicum Creek, and ensure sustainable recreation opportunities for years to come.
