Bellingham Kids Fest is back!
Free family fun, anyone? This Saturday, Aug. 1, join Bellingham Parks & Recreation and WestEdge Credit Union for an exciting day of games, entertainment, workshops, and more. You’ll also have the chance to learn about children’s programs and services from around Whatcom County. Be sure to visit our sensory-friendly station — look for the blue Parks & Recreation canopy.

Community Streets round one is complete
We’re celebrating new traffic calming projects completed this week on Silver Beach Avenue, Sylvan Street, Magrath Road, and Tremont Avenue. Improvements like these make everyday trips safer by slowing speeds in residential areas. Thank you to neighbors in Cordata, Meridian, King Mountain, Irongate, Barkley, and Silver Beach for your input!
Each year, we prioritize one section of the city as part of a four‑year rotation. We listen to neighbors, use citywide safety data to evaluate concerns equitably, and install improvements where they’re needed most.
