Project Overview
Starting in April 2023, the Woburn Sewer Replacement project (EU190) will replace sewer mains in the following areas:
- Woburn Street from Fraser Street south
- Woburn Street from Texas Street to Barkley Boulevard
- Barkley Boulevard from Woburn Street to Newmarket Street
- Yew Street from Carolina Street to Texas Street
Once complete, the impacted areas will be repaved, and all pedestrian ramps made fully ADA accessible.
Project Status – April 2024
In April 2024, work on the pedestrian curb ramps, road grinding, and surface regrading will resume around Barkley Village.
Repaving work will take place at night beginning Monday, April 22 and is expected to take approximately 6 nights to complete. Night work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Repaving will occur on Woburn from Texas Street to Barkley Boulevard, Woburn Street from Fraser Street south 500 feet, and Yew Street between Carolina and Texas Streets. Detours will be in place.

Construction Impacts
Flaggers will be present. Minor detours may be needed for specific sections of the work. Access to businesses, as well as local access to homes and for emergency vehicles, will be maintained during construction. Construction is expected to conclude in Spring 2024.
