Pollution Prevention Specialists can help you reduce your waste and direct you to recycling and disposal options. They can also help you with proper storage for wastes awaiting recycling or disposal. Follow these simple steps to reduce the impact of your waste stream:
- When storing waste outside, keep lids closed to prevent rainwater from leaching garbage juice onto the ground.
- Properly dispose of all dangerous waste. Some wastes will need to be handled by a contractor.
- Save on waste disposal costs by recycling as much waste as possible.
- Choose less toxic chemicals. Read labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
