Every business that uses chemicals should have a spill response plan (see template below) and cleanup supplies. Have absorbent supplies on hand that are appropriate for the chemicals you use. Keep your spill kit nearby.
The City of Bellingham provides free spill kits to Bellingham businesses to prevent oil, chemicals, and other pollutants from spilling into the storm drainage system and going directly into our waterways without any treatment. Call a Pollution Prevention Specialist at (360) 778-7740 to learn more.
