The City’s existing fiber network supports many critical City services such as fire, police, water, wastewater, streetlights, traffic lights, and connects its buildings to a network. We also provide services to Bellingham Public Schools, Whatcom Transportation Authority, regional 911 services, and the Office of Emergency Management.
Fiber Network Comprehensive Plan
The City Council adopted the 10-year Fiber Network Comprehensive Plan on Feb. 24, 2025.
