In light of this morning's tragic shooting in Pittsburgh, PA, we want to extend our condolences to the community, families and law enforcement officers affected by these events. Locally and within an hour of the reported shooting in Pittsburgh, Bellingham Police reached out to the two synagogues within the city limits to lend any assistance which may be needed. The Patrol Division is participating in extra patrols of both synagogues throughout the day and night and our Investigation Division has reached out to our federal partners to stay informed, should any new intelligence arise.
Mayor Kelli Linville and Chief David Doll have both expressed their heartfelt sorrow for the victims, their families, the city of Pittsburgh and all the emergency responders tragically affected by this senseless act of violence.
