Make a Difference Day 2023 Volunteer Work Party

Oct 28, 2023 , 9:00 am 12:00 pm

Celebrate Make a Difference Day and Arbor Day with the City of Bellingham and Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) by helping improve salmon habitat at Whatcom Falls Park! We will be planting trees and shrubs and removing invasive species in the north end of the park, where the Whatcom Creek Railroad Trestle is being removed.

All ages, abilities, and experience levels welcome. Unaccompanied youth under the age of 18 must provide a City & NSEA Youth Liability Release Form signed by their legal guardian to participate. Participants under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

You need: Weather-appropriate clothing, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a full water bottle.

We provide: Tools, gloves, instruction, coffee, snacks, and free pizza provided by Zeeks and Pizza Time!

Our volunteer work parties follow current health department guidelines. Please register in advance. Additional information and reminders will be emailed to registered participants.
