Celebrate Mother’s Day with the whole family among blooming azaleas, rhododendrons, and the permanent sculpture collection at Big Rock Garden Park (2900 Sylvan St.).
• 1 to 4 p.m. - Enjoy light refreshments and children’s activities.
• 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Live music by Jud Sherwood Jazz Combo
Visitors are encouraged to walk or bike. Parking is available from Silver Beach Elementary (4101 Academy St.).

Our volunteers rock! We are so grateful to the 42 volunteers who helped us beautify Big Rock Garden Park ahead of the upcoming Mother`s Day event!
All 37 sculptures are now sparkling clean, and 6 cubic yards of invasive yellow archangel has been successfully removed.
If you haven`t been to Big Rock Garden Park before, bring your mother on May 12th and experience the beautiful blooms of the azaleas and rhododendrons, the fantastic sculpture collection, and enjoy live music, light refreshments, and fun for the whole family! 🌷

It's creating way too much congestion. I visit and drive through downtown on Holly on a regular basis, but I am.now inclined to avoid it. And be less likely to stop to shop or eat. On top of that I saw a car do a very unsafe maneuver to try to get around the congestion. I really thought there was going to be a crash
I'm very happy to see more bike lanes being added. I'm hoping as the word spreads, more people will try riding their bikes downtown. But that means we need more infrastructure for bike parking and bike security. Still overall I think it's a positive step.
Thank you for the bike lanes. It will take some getting used to for those in cars.
