Opportunities to Serve
Area residents have opportunities to serve the community through participation in City boards, commissions, committees and work groups. Current openings are listed below.
You may submit applications for specific groups whether or not there are current vacancies. You may also submit applications for multiple advisory groups of interest to you. Your application will be kept on file for one year and consulted each time an opening occurs within that year.
Eligibility
Most — but not all — City advisory groups require members to live within Bellingham City limits and have done so for at least one year, unless otherwise specified (noted with * in the Current Opportunities list below). Some residency exceptions or other requirements may apply to certain groups.
Applications
Anyone with an interest in serving can apply online or pick up an application from the Mayor’s Office at Bellingham City Hall.
