April 08, 2016 - by Shannon Taysi, Planning and Community Development

The City of Bellingham in partnership with Sculpture Northwest are excited to announce the installation of a temporary sculpture exhibition on display from April 2016 through April 2017 throughout the Arts District. Visitors and residents will be able to enjoy a variety of sculptures created by local artists.

The timeliness of this installation coincides with the celebration of International Sculpture Day, which occurs on April 24th.

“The City of Bellingham is grateful for the work Sculpture Northwest does for the community and their efforts in bringing art into the public realm for all to enjoy. This is an exciting partnership,” said Mayor Kelli Linville.

A kickoff celebration will be held on April 24th at Sculpture Northwest.  See their website for more details regarding the celebration and the artists at sculpturenorthwest.org.
