Police investigating recent voyeurism cases

Five similar incidents reported

Bellingham Police are currently investigating five recent incidents of voyeurism.  They have been reported in the 800-1000 blocks of E. Maple, Billy Frank Jr. and High Streets, as well as one incident in the 1300 block of Franklin.  These incidents have occurred in the early morning hours between 1:00 and 6:00 a.m. The suspect in these cases has been described as a white male with brown hair, a slender build, and wearing dark clothing.  He stands outside the windows and is holding an object, either a flashlight or a cell phone, in his hand.  Police believe these recent incidents may be related the cases reported earlier this year.

Remember general safety tips such as “light it up / lock it up”, close your blinds and/or curtains, and look out for your neighbor. Be vigilant and immediately report to 9-1-1 someone looking into or knocking on windows of your house or the houses of your neighbors. Bellingham Police and Western Washington University Police have increased patrols in the area.
