Squalicum Creek Park zipline re-opens

New model is designed to last

November 16, 2017 - by Steve Janiszewski

A new zipline at the Squalicum Creek Park playground is open and ready for use. The original zipline, installed in 2015, was closed and eventually removed for safety reasons.  The manufacturer was unable to provide a permanent repair and refunded the City's money.

The new Speedliner model, manufactured by Berliner-Seilfabrik, is a larger heavy duty model specifically designed for children aged 5-12 years old.

“Children have been anxiously awaiting the new zipline and we are happy to report that it is finally here,” said Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Bryson.

Squalicum Creek Park is located at 1001 Squalicum Way across from West Street in the Birchwood Neighborhood.  Please observe posted safety rules at the playground.
