June 27, 2018 - by Shannon Taysi, Program Specialist

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday September 7, 2018. The grant is a competitive process and applications are available in the Planning and Community Development Department at Bellingham City Hall or on the City website at https://www.cob.org/services/business/Pages/tourism-grants.aspx

The City is offering a Start-Up Grant opportunity for those events, program or projects that are under three years old in addition to the standard grant application.

In 2018, the City awarded 25 competitive grants totaling $207,647.  Programs and events included Fiddlehead Tours and Adventures, Bellingham Railway Museum, Mount Baker Bicycle Club and Wild Buffalo.  Special consideration will be given to events that occur during the off-season (between October and May) and / or by partnering with other agencies or events to reduce duplication of activities. Complete program eligibility requirements are included in the application packet.

Questions regarding this grant program should be directed to Shannon Taysi, Planning & Community Development, at staysi@cob.org or 778-8360.
