Harrison Street Slope Stabilization

Project Overview: EW-0237

This project will facilitate the repair of the water main which was installed in 1992. The water main is in good condition but due to the slope above slipping, the pipe has come apart at the joints on more than one occasion. In addition, the slippage has also caused a rock wall to collapse. The overall repairs will replace a section of the existing watermain, remove soils from the top of the slope, place soil near the bottom of the slope, replace sections of the rock wall with a modular block wall, re-construct/repair the existing stormwater pond, and provide a three foot horizontal to one foot vertical (3:1) slope in lieu of the current steep slope.

Status – February 2021

Accomplishments: The project has been completed with one year of plant establishment.

Next Milestones: Plant establishment and warranty period.
