The Arne Hanna Aquatic Center uses the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program for the youth level swim lessons and a modified version of the Learn-to-Swim program designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. The aquatic center also offers a parent child program for children 6 months to 3 years and their parents. To sign up for classes you may walk in, phone in, or register online. Registration is done on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Private and Semi-Private Lessons are scheduled for 1 and 2 people for 1/2 hour time slots. The scheduled times for lessons vary daily. Please call for available times and instructors. The cost is $28 for one 30-minute private lesson and $34 for a semi-private lesson.
If you are unsure of your child’s level or if it has been more than 6 months since your child’s last swim lessons, please contact the Aquatic Center to schedule a placement test. Placement tests are free and take about five minutes to complete. The links below contain all of the required skills and a brief description of the skills for each level.
