Our Preschool and Youth levels follow a standard swimming progression, each level builds on the skills learned in the previous level. To enroll in Preschool levels 3-5 or Youth levels 3-6, students must have passed the previous level at Arne Hanna or completed a Placement Test into the level with one of our instructors. The system will not allow students to register without meeting one of those prerequisites. Please come for a free placement test during any lap swim if your child has not participated in lessons within the last three months. See the completion requirements for individual-level skills.
Parent and child classes have a max of eight parent/child pairs. All Preschool swim lessons have four students max. Youth levels and teen/adult classes have a max of five students.
**NEW this Spring** Youth levels 1-2 are now split by age, 6-9 years old and 10-13 years old. Youth 1-2 for 6-9 year-olds will be held in the Instructional Pool. Youth levels 1-2 for 10-13 year-olds will now be in the Lap Pool.
Registration
Register for lessons by phone at (360) 778-7665 or online. Registration will occur the Monday before each session’s start date beginning at 8:00 am. If Monday is a holiday, registration will open on Tuesday. Please refer to the lesson schedule below for the official registration start date. Students will be allowed to register for only one lesson per session.

Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds
To be eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administrative fee, participants must notify the Aquatic Center 3 days prior to the beginning of the program. Programs will not be pro-rated for partial participation. Management may approve full or partial refunds in certain cases for family emergencies, illness with a doctor’s note, or military deployment.
