Shoutout to our 38 incredible volunteers who came out this sunny Saturday morning!
Together, along with our friends from WNPS, we made a huge impact on the Maritime Heritage Park today, saving native plants from being choked to death by invasive Creeping Thistle, Poison Hemlock, and Morning Glory.
This vital work ensures a healthy and happy ecosystem for all. Next week, we`ll be at our Native Plant Nursery, meticulously weeding our plants to keep them healthy until they`re ready for fall planting.
This and all our work parties are funded by the Greenways Levy.

What is warm and cold and blue all over?
Bigger than a Boeing 747, this is one of the city’s largest recreational buildings and it’s getting a new roof!
Work just started at the Bellingham Sportsplex and is expected to last about 6 weeks. This 77,000-square-foot building houses Bellingham’s only ice rink, as well as an indoor soccer field, bouncy house, and other fun amenities.
The building will be open during construction but do expect to see some minor detours in place. The forecast for the inside of the building is going to be nice and dry for years to come!

Bellingham needs an outdoor city pool.
I didn’t know bellingham had an outdoor public pool. Where is this?
So even if a "Camper identifies as Hispanic, Latino, or of Spanish origin." comes from a middle-class or wealthy family, they qualify for the discount? Same for "Camper describes themselves as American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander."???
You can’t discriminate on race. That’s literally the most blatant discrimination against a race/ethnicity. Imagine if it said ‘Only white people’ can apply
Carmen Y Orlando Aponte
White people are the only ones that pay full price? Not racist at all.
What a joke. So because my kids were born white and I as their dad, has a good job that I have worked my ass off for means I don’t get any help. What a bunch of BS. I should not expect anything less from Bellingham.
So everyone but white people?
I love the haters in the comments who forget poor, immigrants can be white. I'm sure a lovely low income Russian family would love to apply for these
