Northridge Detention Pond Retrofit project originally started as a storm water treatment enhancement project to be constructed on a city parcel along Barkley Blvd.
The project consists of installation of streetscape improvements and water main on Champion St between Grand Ave & Holly St. Work includes installation of water main, curb and gutter sidewalk, pavement, street lighting, vegetation & other related items.
This project will replace existing manholes and restore sanitary sewers to near new condition through the use of trenchless technology and open cut methods in various neighborhoods.
The installation of a new 54-60 inch diameter pipe to replace the current 30-inch diameter secondary outfall that is in need of replacement. The new pipeline will follow an existing 30 inch secondary outfall from the plant, under three sets of BNSF tracks
Project includes installation of stormwater conveyance and treatment facilities and infrastructure improvements on East North Street and East Oregon Street in the Lake Whatcom Watershed.
The improvements consists of : rehabilitating roughly 11,880 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe using Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) and open cut methods, replacement of 31 manholes, and restoration of appurtenant structures effected by construction.
