Description
This project involves the design and construction of a new entrance sign, which will also function as a gateway structure for this community park. The proposed entryway structure will be located at the main entrance to the park on Chuckanut Drive.
Funding
$75,000 in Park Impact Fees is budgeted for design, permitting, and construction.

Four design options were developed for public review and comment on Engage Bellingham through March 31, 2022.
The Bellingham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Bellingham Arts Commission approved the final recommendation for design option 2, referred to as the “historic monument with lantern.”
Final design, permitting and construction is planned for winter 2022 or spring 2023, pending contractor availability and permit approvals.
