Description
This project involves the design and construction of a new entrance sign, which will also function as a gateway structure for this community park. The proposed entryway structure will be located at the main entrance to the park on Chuckanut Drive.
Funding
$150,000 in Park Impact Fees is budgeted for design, permitting, and construction.
Status
Complete.
Four design options were developed for public review and comment on Engage Bellingham through March 31, 2022.
The Bellingham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Bellingham Arts Commission approved the final recommendation for design option 2, referred to as the “historic monument with lantern.”
Contractors will be on site the week of September 18th to begin work, with an anticipated completion time frame of Mid- November.
