Lorraine Ellis Park Playground Renovation

The design of a new playground for Lorraine Ellis Neighborhood Park is in process. The existing playground equipment, installed in 1990, is tired and weather beaten; it does not comply with safety standards for public playground equipment, and lacks ADA access.

This project will provide this neighborhood new, unique, fun, safe, and accessible, play opportunities for neighborhood tots.

Anticipated park facilities include: playground, benches, and a trash receptacle. A walkway to connect the playground and proposed sidewalk along West Illinois is also in design.
