Post Point Solids Pilot Program

Project Overview

Post Point Resource Recovery is looking for new solutions for wastewater solids processing. After the Mayor and City Council directed the City to change course on a Biosolids processing project due to concerns around the cost and the constituents of emerging concern, including PFAS, the city began working to find a new solution to replace the current incinerators.

In August of 2023, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to bring technologies on site at Post Point to test the functionality and feasibility of solids processing solutions. The pilot test will help provide valuable information that the city will use while planning for future solids handling upgrades.

Project Status- April 2024

The city has received and evaluated 4 submissions to the RFP. Staff will present their findings to City Council on 4/8/2024.
