Adaptive Recreation

Bellingham Parks and Recreation offers community members of all abilities recreational, social and athletic opportunities. The programs are a great way to meet new people, improve athletic skills or just have fun while focusing on respect, acceptance, and inclusion. Everybody is welcome so make sure to let your family, friends, and neighbors know!

Pre-Registion is required unless otherwise noted.

Gang Ball

Dates/Location: Mondays, April 8 – May 13 (closed April 15) at Bloedel Donovan Community Building
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Age: 12 and older
Cost: Free – Liability waiver must be signed at the door.

Sensory Friendly Sundays

Dates: Sundays, April 28 and May 19
Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
Location: Bloedel Donovan Community Building
Age: 18 Months – 16 years old, with an adult
Cost: Free!

Spin Dances

Dates/Location: Mondays, April 15 at Bloedel, May 20 at Bloedel and July 15 at Depot Market Square
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Location: Bloedel Donovan Community Building or Depot Market Square
Age: 14 and older
Cost: Free!

Spin Dance Ice Cream Social

Dates/Location: Monday, August 19 at Depot Market Square
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Age: 14 and older
Cost: Free!

Camp T.E.A.M

Dates: Thursday May 9 and Friday May 10
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Bloedel Donovan Park
Age: 16 years and older
Cost: $10 per day

Riding is for Focus

Dates/Location: Session 1: Wednesdays April 10-May 22; Sessions 2: May 29-July 17
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Location: Lake Padden Rotary Shelter
Age: 14 and older
Cost: Free!

Adaptive Spring Break Camp

Dates: Monday-Thursday, April 1-4
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Whatcom Falls Park
Ages: 6-20 years old
Cost: $350

Adaptive Cycling Club

Dates: Mondays, May 6-June 17
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Location: Lake Padden Rotary Shelter
Age: 6-20 years old
Cost: $350

Adaptive & Inclusive Summer Camp

Dates: Monday through Thursdays, July 1-August 22 (no camps July 4)
Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: TBA
Age: 6-20 years old
Cost: $300 per session
