The kick should basically be a perfect scissors kick.
The student should perform a side open turn when they need to change directions.

Butterfly – 50 Yards
Stroke should basically be perfect with proper arm catch, mid-pull, finish and recovery.
The kick should basically be a perfect dolphin kick.

Swim 500 yards continuously using the strokes in the following order: front crawl 100 yards, back crawl 100 yards, breaststroke 50 yards, elementary backstroke 50 yards, sidestroke 50 yards, butterfly 50 yards, and choice of stroke 100 yards.
Exit Skill II – Coopers 12 Minute Swimming Test
Student swims for twelve minutes nonstop on the first and last day and compares the number of laps. Unfortunately, the chart on page SWS p.p. 189 only goes down to 13 years of age.
