FAQ’s

When/where is packet pick up:

Can I pick up someone else’s packet? You can pick up someone else’s packet provided you have a signed note from them.

Can I bring a dog? No animals with 3 or more legs please.

What is the course? See above links to the 5k or 8k maps. The online maps will direct you through the course just like magic…or Google.

Is there a costume contest? There is no contest, but dress up anyway. Tag us at #bellinghamparks or #bellinghamparksROG and we’ll heart your best pictures.

How do I register? Click the blue registration button above, Let us know if you run into any issues at (360) 778-7000 or parks@cob.org.

How does timing work? No idea, it appears to be a combination of magic and technology embedded in your bib (number). However it’s done, your time starts when you cross the starting line and finishes when you cross the finish line. If you don’t cross one or both of those lines chaos ensues and you do not get timed.

Is there a time limit? Yes there is. The time limit is 60 minutes from the time you cross the start line. If you’re asking why we have a time limit it comes down to 2 people with very large coffees pushing strollers on our old course. About 70 minutes into the race they were out of coffee and only about half way through the course. Traffic control, volunteers, timers and one very nice Bellingham Police officer were all waiting these 2 individuals to finish before they could move on with their Saturday. So – time limits.

Why 60 minutes? It’s a nice round number people can get their head around. Also 19.35 minutes per mile is an achievable pace for most people. If you feel like you need more than that contact Mr. Romo at Lromo@cob.org. Tell him Tiger Man sent you.

How do awards work?

  • The top 3 male and female in each race receive an award
  • Results will be listed for each division by gender and age
  • Draw prizes will be handed out randomly or fired out of a t-shirt cannon.

Where can I find results? Results will be posted on-line at the following:

If there are issues with results please contact Billy Reeves at wpreeves@cob.org
