Can I bring a dog? If dogs are allowed on your course and you would like to participate with your dog – have at it. If you are a dog person we would love for you to send pictures.
What is the course? There are a vareity of courses to choose from or you can build your own. To follow the course with voice prompts, open the course in the RunGo app.
Is there a costume contest? Sort of, there is a photo contest, but costumes are not required. To enter post your fabulous photo to Instagram and tag us with #BellinghamParksROG. If you are not on Instagram and would like to enter send photo to Lance at Lromo@cob.org. Participants will receive one entry per photo of participation in Runnin’ O’ the Green!
How do I register? Registration is available online. Please note that in-person registration is closed due to the pandemic. If you need help registering or have questions call our office at (360) 778-7000 or Lance Romo at (360) 778-7029 or Lromo@cob.org.
How does timing work? The best way to submit a time is to use an app like Strava and submit a link to your results. Devices similar to a Garmin 245 watch and smart phones also track distance and time. There are many more technical solutions to choose from as well. Alternatively, you may choose a premeasured course and check your time on a standard watch. Whichever method you choose, submitting your time to Pacific Multisports is required to be eligible for prizes.
Is there a time limit? Normally we give people a solid 60 minutes. This year, without flaggers,, volunteers and other staff on the course, feel free to use as much time as you like. If you expect to take over 60 minutes, I recommend packing snacks and water.
How do awards work?
- The top 3 male and female in each race receive an award
- Results will be listed for each division by gender and age
- All participants who submit a time by March 22 are eligible for the prize drawing
- All participants who submit a photo via #bellinghamparksrog or #bellinghamnparks are eligible for a prize.
